My family and I stayed in this hotel for three nights while we were attending a wedding just outside the city. The hotel itself is stunning, the staff were wonderful and very friendly. We speak very little Spanish but the hotel front desk staff were fluent in English. The other staff were very patient, helpful and friendly even though there was a language barrier. Breakfast was awesome! And we loved spending time in the mall below the hotel. Got a few neat gifts. We also spent a day visiting Uxmal. The drive down was very tropical and easy. The site itself was really neat.
I’m giving the hotel 3 stars for two reasons. First, when we checked in, we were given keys to a room that was already occupied. Awkward.. Second, some things in the hotel are in need of maintenance. Some cracked/chipped tiles and the elevators were having some issues. They may be coming around to work on things. There was a good amount of construction above our room during the day.
"Great hotel / Great location "
I like the hotel. Very well located! Very good breakfast. Nice service! Rooms are ok. Parking area bellow hotel. Good restaurants nearby. Bus stop to Cancun on the hotel block. Several stores under the hotel building (main floor).
I do recommend.
"Great Stay Great Location"
I stayed for several nights at the hotel. The check was easy and the staff was very pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good as was the service. The location of the hotel was very convenient and within an easy walk to numerous restaurants. I would definitely return to the hotel during my next visit.
"Best location of the city"
Visited Merida in early May this year with a friend and stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. This hotel probably has the best location in the city. It's in the middle of everything: shopping malls, restaurants, historical district, you name it. The lobby was magnificent, the room we stayed in was pretty clean and quiet (we stayed at a higher level, though).
The underground garage wasn't too difficult to get into, and the hotel reimbursed all parking fees, which was nice. The only shortcoming I could think of was probably the breakfast. We came down to the first floor to have breakfast and was told it was provided by a 3rd party partner. The food was ok but rather expensive compared to what we got and how much we paid elsewhere.
"Great Stay At Fiesta Americana Merida Yucatan"
I spent a few good days at this hotel in Merida Yucatan. I arrived late Thursday night around midnight to find a friendly person waiting for me with my reservation in hand. I guess they were wondering what happened to me. Within a few minutes, I was all checked in and presented with card key to my room. I must say, it was a room with a great view of the city and very comfortable. Plenty of room, a balcony style window, a large desk, Fancy TV, mini bar fully loaded, and large bathroom with walk-in shower. Lastly, great location in the middle of the city. Very easy to catch taxi out front, Travel agency included, car rental Included, A small shopping mall and convenience store. Need I say more. Oh yes, the room rental price was a good deal; it was worth it.
The majestic Fiesta Americana Mérida rises up at the intersection of Mérida's two most important avenues: Colon and Paseo Montejo, with Porfirian-style architecture that retains an exquisite elegance, together with modernity and technology; elements that ensure a pleasurable stay.An icon of the White City, a meeting point of Merida's society and an attractive destination for vacation and business travelers alike, without a doubt one of the best hotels in Merida, Mexico.
By day or night, the hotel is breathtaking and entering, delights the eye with its elegant lobby decorated with mosaics, a central fountain and armchairs all around inviting to enjoy the elegant atmosphere. The Fiesta Americana Mérida has an adjacent shopping mall, a business center and the South East Industries Club (Club de Industriales del Sureste) which operates through membership.
Its convenient location allows you to reach the airport in 25 minutes and seven minutes from downtown, where you can learn the colonial heritage of the city, listen the Yucatecan trova notes and sample the typical dishes.
