The dream of Club Deportivo Guadalajara having its own stadium and being an architectural benchmark in Mexico was made true by the vision of Jorge Vergara, owner of Chivas, who made it possible to build a venue with an avant-garde design that distinguishes it from any other existing in Mexico. Thus Akron Stadium was born.
