Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa
Location #9 of 126 hotels in Puerto Vallarta
Summary of qualifications
I have to start by telling you 3 weeks before our trip my girlfriend had broken her leg so she was crutch and wheel chair bound (wheelchair was provided by the hotel). So we were a bit worried about accessibility while we were here. It could not have been less of an issue! The hotel is very well equipt with ramps to make moving around the resort very easy.
The room was great, with a balcony which was awesome for looking out on the sunset or to see amazing views of the malecon at night. Not to mention a stocked mini bar!
But the real reason why I will come back to this place is the staff. I've stayed in pv before and experienced great service. But that pales in comparison to the service we've received here. Raphael down at the pool from the first moment we sat down was attentive and always willing to help, every morning we'd come down to breakfast he would go out of his way to say hello and to ask us if we needed anything (always by name). Gume down at beachside restaurant was responsible for our most enjoyable meals we had all week. These two gentlemen are the reason I plan to return. Be sure to look for them when you stay here.
I wish I could give this resort more than 5 stars.
Just back from a weeks holiday , it was perfect. The resort, the accommodation and the food was excellent. The service from all the staff was exceptional , also nothing was too much trouble, anything you requested was seen to straight away. Special mention to Tania who looked after us especially on our last day arranging a late checkout and a courtesy room.We will definitely return.
Very very happy with our stay here!
Grounds: Small but nice. I didn't think I would like a small resort but it was nice to have everything at your finger tips. Everything is very pretty and clean.
Pool: Only one pool but it's large. It never felt crowded or overrun by kids.
Food: Food was amazing. There's a different buffet theme every night to mix thing up. You also don't need reservations for the a la carts. I recommend trying all of them, but the Mexican was my favourite. Breakfast is good, but gets a little repetitive. Lunch has a ton of options, all very good. If you don't get the fish tacos you're really missing out. The room drunken 2am room service was also great.
Service: AMAZING I have to shout out Rosa and Manuel in the lobby bar and my man Manuel at the pool bar. Make sure you tip them well cause these guys hustle hard and deserve it.
Nightlife: Kinda lacking, but whatever. I was so busy drinking in the sun all day that once 9pm hit the only thing I wanted to be entertained by was my bed (which are quite comfy by the way).
After reading a lot of reviews I was a little worried that this resort was going to be a retirement home, but there we're a lot of young adults. Relax baby boomers, it was by no means a crazy spring break resort.
We can't wait to go back!
"Great resort for a family getaway."
My family and I just returned from a week long stay at the Fiesta Americana and we enjoyed a lovely stay.
The resort is very well maintained and very clean. The rooms are comfortable. We were in a family room on the first floor (which is really the 2nd floor of the resort) and my only "complaint" is that there is no shade on the huge balcony so we were only able to enjoy it early in the morning and after the sun had gone down as it was just too hot otherwise.
The food was good, exceeding expectations. Was it the best I've ever had, no - but it was good resort food. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, the quesdilla and omelet stations were great. Lunch we usually ate at the poolside snack bar or the Cevicheria, which were both really great options. Fish tacos were awesome. Dinner options were good as well. Loved not having to worry about reservations at any of the restaurants. The food at all were fine, the Italian and the Asian being our favorites. Be sure to take in the "Premium" Buffet night on the pool deck. It was our favorite meal - be there for 7pm as it is super busy.
The staff are all very friendly and gracious, and eager to help in any way. A particular server "Rafael" or "Uncle Rafi" as he referred to himself went out of his way to make you feel welcome, and always engaged our kids. Very nice man indeed. Tipping does help, but is not necessary.
The resort does remind guests over and over that reserving of deck chairs around the pool is not allowed, but it was clearly taking place. However, there were usually a few chairs still available after 9am, so it didn't cause us much concern even considering we were there for the Easter week break, and it was quite busy.
Overall we were really satisfied with our choice of resorts and would likely stay here again.
"Family Vacation "
Excellent accommodations. Nice place. But above all outstanding service from a great staff. Special mention to Armando Flores who makes an unforgettable show from preparing flamed coffee. Gilberto, Laura and all the staff from the SPA that would go above standards to give a greater experience. However the free internet really sucks. A minor glitch, considering is not a business hotel, if you have to do something important the requires internet access consider doing it at the business center.
