Huge hotel with beautiful design. Great kind staff. Good food. Great location. Room cleaning needs more attention. I found a box with a drug inside the ice bucket which was full of water. Another detail is the bathroom smell that comes from the lobby bathrooms on the way to the elevators. Not so good. Despite those issues, the hotel has 5 panoramic elevators and 20+ stories. Beautiful lobby, nice restaurant and bar. The main entrance is only comparable with the Hilton entrance. There are convenience stores and fast food restaurants around. Rooms are renovated, quiet and spacious. A good thing is that the toilet is located in a different area from the shower, which has a glass door that allows to watch Tv from there.
"Quite Dated and not really a good value."
Not sure what "new rooms" that some others have been talking about but the room that I was assigned was quite dated and old. Checked in quite late and room key didn't work, then went back down to the desk and got anther key and it still didn't work. After midnight and waiting at the room door the front desk clerk had to come up and open the room. A King suite for $300US/ night with a broken door lock didn't really make my day or set the mood. Once in the room the room was large and somewhat clean but was dated. Bath tub was older than me, shower head dripped water and didn't have a lot of pressure. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean but not the value for the price paid. My opinion this is a $99/night hotel.
The staff was friendly, Bell Services was helpful but not sure I will return to this hotel as there are many other choices in the area that are much better.
"Super loud AC in room"
Excellent service from staff, very helpful, friendly and fast. Even non-remodeled rooms are spacious, and comfortable. The AC is a big issue, even on lowest fan setting it is extremely loud. The underground parking is a maze and a mess, getting to the lobby from there is quite an adventure.
"Wow New rooms!!!"
We stayed here before and was expected the old furniture and accommodations. When we arrived the valet, front desk, concierge, etc.. were very polite! And when we open the door of the room wow! New furniture, new linens, new TV, new bathroom, very nice! Amenities EXCELLENT! Pineda Covalin! Shampoo is EXCELLENT! Definitly this is the place to stay in Guadalajara!
"Fiesta Americana Guadalajara"
The hotel staff were extremely cordial, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was good but not special. The furnishings in the room were fairly dated. For the price of a room, the rate is a little high compared to other hotels.
