We chose this hotel, which is overpriced for MX, because there is a great pool and a deck we could use while our young kids are sleeping. The hotel didn't give us a room with a deck, despite our reservation. When we informed them this was why we booked here, they transferred us to a room on the ground level. They were accommodating and friendly, but for the price I would have expected that our reservation was correct, or we would have been offered compensation, which we were not. We live here and will be back to Veracruz, but for the cost, I doubt we will return.

There was a large cockroach in our bathroom the first night raising concerns foe us about the general quality, care and cleanliness of this supposedly "luxury" hotel. The second night, our anniversary, there was an extremely loud event in the lobby going until past midnight. The worst part is we tried sleeping with the sliding glass door to our ocean view closed with the air on (negating and spoiling our ability to listen to the waves as we relaxed and slept, a major reason for paying extra for an ocean room), however at around 12:30 am the very strong smell of cigarerte smoke filled our room, making my wife sick and preventing us from sleeping. We immediately notified the front desk and they said they would investigate. We tried sleeping but the noxious smell made us shut off the air and open the sliding door, but the noise kept us up. A while after our call to the front desk while we are doing our best to try and fall asleep through the noise, a bellboy knocks at OUR door and rouses us to ask if we are smoking in our room. I informed him that we were the ones who made the call to the desk about the smoking and that it definitely wasn't us. After more time unsuccessfully falling asleep through the noise we hesitantly tried closing the window again and turning on the air, hoping the smoke had passed. To our pleasant surprise the air was fine and we could start falling asleep... That is, until the room filled with smoke AGAIN at 1:30 waking us both and sickening my wife, at which point I immediately called the front desk again and asked to speak with a manager. The desk attendant offered zero consolation in the matter stating that they were still trying to find the source of the problem and that they were unable to fix our situation at all since they could not offer another room, as they were at full occupancy. So, again we opened our windows, turned off the air and waited for the noise to die down what seemed like an eternity later before we could fall asleep from exhaustion. This was perhaps the worst hotel experience I have ever had and it is made all the more worse by the fact this hotel is so expensive. The next morning I went to the front desk and was told by an associate that he would look into it and speak with his manager and he would contact me. He never got in contact with me and followed up. It wasn't until after my wife and I packed up, vacated our room and loaded our car and went to the front desk to check out at noon did i get to speak with a manager, and only after I demanded to speak with one. The manager offered token apologies for the noisy event and hardly even addressed the disgusting smoke piped into the room. For our trouble, she said we can check out at 6pm instead of noon and would take, effectively, $25 USD off of our bill. I found this gesture more insulting than helpful as 1) it was the worst, most disturbed and disgusting stay I've ever had in a hotel, on my anniversary no less, and for the manager to offer a paltry $25usd discount at a hotel with $200+USD per night rooms that was at full occupancy and 2) they offered for us to remain in our room until 6pm only AFTER we already moved out and were handing in our keys at the desk. Talk about clueless. I found managements response to our very valid concerns feeble and insufficient, especially for a hotel charging as much as it is in an area of perfectly acceptable and more affordable alternatives. Sad thing is is we live 10 minutes away and would have had a better and far cheaper time staying home.

I visited Veracruz and the last time I stayed at this hotel it was in very bad conditions, old and dirty. I gave a second chance and it was different, clean, very good service, pool was great, good service for drinks and food! I recommend this hotel!!

I had a great time by the pool with my family. We had really amazing service by the pool. Particularly worthy mentioning one of the staff members, Francisco Navarro, he was amazing. He went well beyond in order to serve us and to make us happy. He even made it possible for us to me served food from the restaurant right by the pool (and with real plates and not plastic). Definitely made this trip better.

It's in an amazing location . Only 5 minutes to andamar lifestyle center and plaza americas. The staff is so friendly and helpful. For my birthday they decorated my bed with balloons and confetti and Cake.It was very safe and I felt very much at home. Will definitely stay here again. Good value for your money waterfront room with a balcony for only $100 us. The staff made my trip so memorable. They are so sweet. Can't wait to go back.
