The hotel itself is ok, rooms are ok, service is terrible--on Mexican time. I would imagine good for business travelers not American Tourists. No English newspapers were available and the front desk was not clear (in English) what we were entitled to. Pillows were like cement blocks but the rooms were clean. Not a hotel to stay at if you want to go on tours. This hotel is 23 miles from city center--not too far but it has taken 3-1/2 hours to get there with traffic. Tours from this hotel should be by private car only. Fiesta Americana is neither a Fiesta nor American. Nor American friendly.
My family really enjoyed this hotel! My son enjoyed the pool and the rooms were big and clean! We ate breakfast everyday at their resturant and the staff was incredible ! Miguel and the rest of the resturant were great! Definitely coming back! Thank You!
"Good location "
The location is great if you are doing business in the area, you have a lot of options to go for lunch or dinner. The hotel is ok but already showing aging issues. The service is good we did a conference and the staff was very helpful. Until I tried to do my check out, I only got informed how much I was going to be charged but did not get a copy of the account as usual in a hotel of this category. I paid and a couple of hours later a colleague of mine told me that they where looking for me at the front desk, I went down just to realize they made a mistake and charged me 150 USD to many. They offered to do the reimbursement next day and they did but really what would have happened if my colleague did not find me, why they did not called me? I think this type of issues should be informed immediately to the customer.
"Good place to stay"
Good size rooms with good bed and pillows.
Shower heads not good.
It is not perfectly clean. At least my room was not vacuumed properly.
Everything else was good in the room
Restaurant is good but maybe small for the amount of people attending this place.
Service is very good
It is not an excellent place but it is not bad as well.
"Room Issues. Average Hotel"
Spend 5 nights here for business. Room was on the top (10th) floor. Rooms are comfortable and large enough although there were a couple service issues:
1. Room wasn't cleaned after the first night in spite of bringing it to the attention of the hotel staff....and it wasn't brought up at check out. No apology, no action. Nothing.
2. Water pressure was actually 0 at one point one morning. If you're staying on an upper floor, you'd better shower early.
3. I'm still not sure how the A/C worked. I couldn't turn it up from 15C, so I just turned the fan off.
The location is close to lots of restaurants...so no issue finding a place to eat.
The bartender in the lobby bar served us very well every night. I think his name was Miguel.
The breakfast features lots of local foods. English in the restaurant isn't great and neither is my Spanish. We made it work regardless. We had to leave early, before breakfast started one morning (at 7) and they were able to accommodate us with some take out ---- thank you restaurant staff!
Free water in the room. Each of us had a different experience with the bottled water, some were refilled, others not, some were charged for the big bottles, others not. Service at the hotel was just hit or miss. The foodservice team seemed to do a pretty good job.
Would like the staff here to speak better English for the international (not just USA) visitors.
If it was the only hotel option in the area, I'd stay there again. The rate was pretty good, I thought. However, there are hotels I could see from my room (and where I've stayed) where I collect loyalty points and had better experiences, so I probably won't stay here again.
