Clean, friendly, excellent service from the administration to the taxi driver who took us back to the airport (Felipe Gutierrez Martinez) who, for the asking, will sing Mexican ballads for you on the way to the airport!
Good Overall, however there was a small issue with the drain on the shower, and one closet door was loose and was a little annoying. Also we where during an earthquake and evacuation was excellent and the staff was really helpful
"Very good hotel for sightseeing and business"
We have stayed at this hotel twice now. We like its central location, reasonable price, good breakfast and nice rooms. The staff is very friendly and attentive too. If you request a restaurant suggestion, you should make sure that they know what you want or else they may send you to a tourist trap.
"If you're looking for adventure..."
This hotel has clearly seen better times. Although it may appear as some higher class accomodation, it definitely lacks maintenance. More than that: staying there could result in serious injuries or worse.
The breakfast service was so-so... The choice is not really international and if you'd like scrambled eggs or pancake, you better plan for waiting a long time. The waiters can be quite unattentive.
The safety of their clients is no concern to the hotel's management at all. Although the elevators have the function to only allow access to the guest room levels by entering the keycard, this function has been switched off. Everybody has access to every level. At 2:55 am I had some strange person constantly ringing my room's bell. By his behaviour and looks I reckon he came to offer the local variety of pharmaceuticals and got the wrong room number.
The room itself was dirty (see pictures attached) and the whole equipment shows clear signs of wear and negligent maintenance. The furniture was repainted with streaks of paint going across and the bathroom floor still had old stains from wallpaint.
The worst thing was the unbelievable job they did with the electrics: open live wire! Some of them at least wrapped with some duct tape (partly coming off). Also in the bathroom where high humidity calls for an electrical accident to happen.
Stay away from this hotel if you're concerned about safety.
"Good hotel centrally located"
This hotel is in a good area, with a lot of options around for restaurants and things go do. Hotel has decent restaurants and decent prices. IIt's a nice centrally located hotel for any visitor wanting to see Mexico city.
