The hotel seems to be in need of a total renovation. Especially the plumbing should be updated. The location is however, good and the service excellent. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of fresh food. Especially the selection of fresh juices available is excellent.
"Great location. Nice personnel, old hotel."
The hotel is very veeeeery old. The cleaning was not bad, but for sure can improve. It smells a lot of humidity, I assume because as I mention is a very old building.
In general, the personnel is very nice and helpful. My only bad experience was in the restaurant, the service is very deficient, the waiters won't even look at you, very rude.
It is a very good option due to the location. Price is not bad for the area, but they definitely should make some major renovation to the place.
"Very good hotel"
- Good and safe location.
- Very friendly and very helpful staff. They speak English.
- Close to Zocalo (by taxi 10 minutes, or more, it depends of the traffic and walking
distance is 2,5 km)
- Comfortable and clean room with refrigerator.
- Clean bathroom, even it's a little bit old and it needs renovation.
- The breakfast was very good.
- Just opposite of the hotel there are restaurants and close to the hotel, there is a
- There is a minimarket opposite of the hotel (at the back side)
- Nice view from the rooms to the city.
After checking into the hotel, I realized that the room I had reserved was not what I had expected. I immediatly returned to the front desk and explained my problem to the gentleman who had checked me in. He explained that the hotel was at capacity for the night. He recommended that he could put in a request for an upgrade. I agreed. He proceeded to enter info from his station. He told me to ask for Veronica the next day. Ms. Veronica Jordan received me with a very cordial greeting. Evidently, she was aware of my situation. In a flash, she set me up with a superior upgrade (excellent accommodation and price). As a semi-retired businessman , I was very impressed with her knowledge, professionalism, and, kindness. Needless to say, I Shall Return!!
Very comfortable by its location/place - close to the city center, easy to find. Cosy rooms, clean and bright, good meals for the breakfast. The stuff is friendly, and it's very nice to live here. The only minus - too much people in the hall at the evening.
