I stayed at this grand hotel last Christmas 2015, the hotel cones are great, the lobby is huge and the breakfast is one of its kind ! Such a wonderful selection of Mexican and international breakfast I have ever had, one new surprised is the Mamei fruit, a wonderful blend of Mexican exotic sweet fruit. I loved this Hotel and it is in the heart of Polanco, a great western style district full of bars, restaurants and shops, walk around there and be amazed!!
"Good location, good breakfast"
Check in was quick, but check out was really slow. The room was comfortable, but the desk chair was really stained, and the vents were so dirty. Please clean the vents. Other than that the staff is friendly and it is close to shops and restaurants.
"Grood Location - So so food"
I recently stayed in Fiesta Americana Hotel in Paseo Reforma Mexico City. The Hotel's location is very good, it's right in the center of the City, depending on the traffic jam, it's about 20 minutes from Polanco and 30ish from the Basilic of our Lady of Guadalupe and just a few of blocks from the Angel of Independence. The rooms are a bit small but have a great view of Reforma, the beds are quite comfortable but the bathrooms are really small.
"Good Mexican hotel"
This hotel has some surprisingly good features and others that can reduce enthusiasm. It took over 1.5 hours to get here from airport during the day, but less than 20 minutes in the early morning before rush hour. Upon arrival, a hostess was waiting at front door to hand me the room key and I breezed upstairs to my room seamlessly. The room was well furnished, the bathroom lined with beautiful Mexican stone (marble or granite?). All necessary amenities were available. Sadly only one small bottle of water was in the room. The bed was comfortable and HVAC worked perfectly. The room service hamburger was Ok but not superb. The hotel does not cater to unilingual Americans so expect only one TV channel (CNN) in English, as the others are in Spanish. Pre-dawn, the lobby had excellent coffee and pastries for those leaving before the dining room opened. An Italian buffet dinner was excellent. This is an excellent solid and not overpriced hotel in Mexico City.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Fiesta Americana Reforma. The bell boy Omar was especially helpful and even arranged for cake on my husbands birthday. He spoke very good English.
We were not impressed with the food, however, or the service in the restruants.
