"Overall good hotel"
Hotel wasn't as grand as I expected; however, it was well worth the purchased. Staff was great at times... Concierge were helpful - yet be aware of tours purchased by hotel - Yes convenience is great, but make sure you have the the hotel staff confirm tour guide arrival time. Both tours we purchased; our tour guide was 2hrs late - we missed the first portion of the both tours. The rest of the tour was fine and we enjoyed it very much, but would of loved to seen it in its entirety. Either way, Overall good hotel!
Good location with competitive rate and quality buffet. Staff was very courteous and eager to help. Concierge was very helpful and helped me make a phone call to my associate where I had not idea where the location was.
"Nice but kind of used hotel"
This is a decent Hotel in a pretty good area of Mexico City. The rooms seem to be quite old and it probably needs a bit of renovation to be what it once was, a probably really good hotel 20 years ago. I can only talk about the deluxe double room, I bet there are some very nice suites in this Hotel since I saw some very famous faces staying there. The prices depend on the duration and time. I booked my room on booking.com, it's where I found the cheapest price. Nevertheless, the service offered by the staff was very nice. I only stayed for one night and I was happy about the pretty comfy bed. It's a very loud area so it's kind of difficult to sleep well...
Stayed here for 6 nights on business recently and had a really good stay. My room was equipped with all the expected things and was very comfortable for my stay. The breakfast buffet was very well catered with a vast array of different foods, lots of fresh fruits too which were delicious.
Location wise, this hotel sits on the main street through the city and is close to the modern Zona Rosa district which is lively and safe for an evenings dinner and stroll. In the other direction is the historic district (15 min walk), this areas has an edgier feel but the buildings are spectacular and worth looking at.
