I visited Mérida in March for my 30th birthday with my best friend and we stayed here. This hotel was so nice was way fancier than it seemed in the pictures online. Huge foyer/high ceilinged lobby, the restaurant downstairs was really pretty too. We didn't have the breakfast buffet at the hotel but it looked really good and upscale- lots of varied things to eat, not just your Holiday Inn waffle and an apple or whatever. Housekeeping was great, the room was beautiful and super clean. We had a room overlooking the pool and opened the balcony door -well not really a balcony but like big glass door/window, it was really nice. Great location easy to grab a cab it a snack at OXXO, easy to walk to the market where they have music on Thursdays and Saturdays. Super helpful hotel staff. We were super embarrassed because our Spanish was terrible but everyone was really understanding and we learned a lot of new words on the trip. Mostly, "Lo siento. Mi español es no bueno." Ugh. The American education system has failed me. Whatever. GREAT HOTEL!
"very nice stay"
stayed one night here with entire family. a bit tricky to find as the first floor is a mall and reception is on the 2nd floor. hotel is in a great location with clean rooms and great service. 2 roll away beds were brought up to our room upon request at no extra charge. Fiesta Club access great with food, snacks, and drinks all day.
"Great for a long stay"
My family and I visited Merida for a wedding and short vacation, this hotel was conveniently located and offered many amenities. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. We had an upgraded room in the 5th floor. A small snack room offering breakfast and evening snacks in the same floor was great. The lower level of the hotel is a mall where you can buy souvenirs, get your hair done (very nice hair salon), rent a car, exchange money etc.. In summary I do recomend this hotel.
"In the Heart of Mérida"
Very nice hotel, food is great at Los Almendros Restaurant. It is in the heart of Mérida, near downtown and next to a very important avenue where you can take walks at night without worrying about anything. Restaurants nearby.. Mérida is a very very nice city and its ppl are great!
"GREAT HOTEL, EXCELLENT PASEO MONTEJO LOCATION"
You are in the center of the "Merida Universe" at this hotel, excellent restaurants, excellent location, excellent staff.
We were assigned Suite #519 with a HUGE patio/balcony on the 5th floor, with expansive views, complimentary canapé's each night, unlimited drinks, both alcohol and non alcohol, the food is so abundant, it's a meal in itself with fresh crisp green salads, cheese assortments, main dishes, of lamb, and more, along with fresh baked breads, cold cuts, grand selection of luscious deserts, amazing wine bar, choose your bottle, bottomless glasses of wines of you choice.
Outstanding comfortable King Size Bed, huge bathrooms (2), walk in closets, guest bath, we could go on and on, but you must experience this Colonial Hotel to live the quality it offers. Free parking for guests
