I rate this average because it felt average. The staff are very kind but nobody speaks very good English. Its fun to practice Spanish but sometimes you need to speak English in some circumstances. They are a bit overboard on the cleaning and the lobby smells strong of cleaning product. Nobody really goes out of their way to provide information on the best things to do and see in the City. They are not very forthcoming with tourist information. The food on site is very average and recycled like a cruise ship. It is in a good location very close to Walmart, all rental car companies, Taxis, ADO bus and easy to get to the historic district and the malls from this location. Its over priced for the vibe.
"Nice hotel well located in Merida"
We stayed at the Fiesta Americana during our stay in Merida. The hotel is generally very clean. The lobby beautiful though they are going through refurbishment at the moment. The breakfast buffet is quite abundant with a nice variety of products. It is conveniently located near the Paseo de Montejo.
Super central location in the heart of Merida.Beautiful hotel. Nicely appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Clean and spacious.some rooms have balcony. Ask for a high floor. Good restaurant. Good service. Will stay there again in the future.
"Overpriced buffet "
Great place very clean, but you have to ask for bottle water the breakfast buffet is great but overpriced there was this one older waiter who never filled our coffee or gave us water and by the way the coffee sucks and is 45 pesos I never tipped him and of course got a dirty look the rooms are small and they let the kids swim
"Good but has seen better times"
Spent family holiday this end of year. Service is good but the hotel does need some investment. Have stayed on several occasions and feel some revamping is required. A great central location, beautiful building but lacks attractiveness.
