This time I elected a Junior Suite. Wow!! is the word. There's an additional restroom for guests, additional closet space, a dinner table, a bar, a pair of comfortable sofas plus a tv. The second room is the bedroom with a room for the restroom that has a shower space, a bath tub a restroom and the sink with ample closet space. Both rooms have room temperature controls separate of each other. There is also a tv in the bedroom. Mine was on the first floor between walking distance to the outside pool. Highly recommended.
"Price ripp off"
I dropped in to see if there was a room for one night . Not really realizing I agreed to the price without checking other booking options . Later in the evening I checked out prices on Trip and other reservation websites . I was shocked at the prices the most expensive being 175 US . I paid over 400 US !
When I mentioned this n check out and showed them the prices they were nonchalant about the issue and replied well that is what we charge when you walk in? I know how much commision one pays for website reservations so in efect they are not making a profit from these reservation sites but that does not mean one has to gauge a client that walks in off the street
There was only a shower in the room no bath . The smallest bottle of free water and nothing more . Granted the breakfast which was very nice, was good . I ate lunch in the restaurant ... nothing special and the wait for a cup of coffee was over 20 mins in the end I had to ask the hostess ,who was only a metre away , if there was any service available as it was minimal
. Certainly I was not a happy camper and I am in no way a cheapskate but the price was a ripp off
Nice property, right in the middle of everything that Merida has to offer. Merida is a beautiful city and this hotel is one of the most representatives of it.
The hotel looks very nice inside and out, not a super luxury property but is good enough for you to enjoy. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, they have updated most of the rooms with LCD TV's, so if you decide to spend a bit of time in the room, you will be happy and entertained.
Service is good and fast, good restaurants around the area and not dangerous to walk at any time of the day.
"The worst service"
We stayed for one night during an organised trip with a travel agency. Most of the people in the group had problems with the hotel but i will describe my own. While having shower the water passed under the glass door out in the bathroom. Much water really. Wrong inclination of the floor and there the bathroom bacame a small lake. I went to the reception and described the situation since the floor was slippery and dangerous. They promised someone would came and clean. NOONE came, until the next day that we left really frustrated, our bathroom floor was still in the same condition. Pity because the hotel looks nice and comfortable.
"Great hotel with equally great restaurant"
I typically try to avoid the hotel's restaurant but the one in this property was excellent and worth visiting if you are in another facility. Also the breakfast buffet is well stocked with many options and variety. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I got upgraded to a junior corner suite that was excellent.
The majestic Fiesta Americana Mérida rises up at the intersection of Mérida's two most important avenues: Colon and Paseo Montejo, with Porfirian-style architecture that retains an exquisite elegance, together with modernity and technology; elements that ensure a pleasurable stay.An icon of the White City, a meeting point of Merida's society and an attractive destination for vacation and business travelers alike, without a doubt one of the best hotels in Merida, Mexico.
By day or night, the hotel is breathtaking and entering, delights the eye with its elegant lobby decorated with mosaics, a central fountain and armchairs all around inviting to enjoy the elegant atmosphere. The Fiesta Americana Mérida has an adjacent shopping mall, a business center and the South East Industries Club (Club de Industriales del Sureste) which operates through membership.
Its convenient location allows you to reach the airport in 25 minutes and seven minutes from downtown, where you can learn the colonial heritage of the city, listen the Yucatecan trova notes and sample the typical dishes.
We remind you that the check-in time is from 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 12:00 PM. We suggest you use our express check-out service.
