Like this hotel as it has many shops and restaurants attached and additional shopping within walking distance. Can't beat the weather, but is a bit humid, cannot image what June/July is like.
WIFI can be a little slow at times and I thought more people would speak English in a town that about 20% of the population comes from outside the region.
"Excellent as usual"
The Fiesta Americana hotel in Mérida, Mexico is a paragon of good, solid hostelry.
The building, erstwhile the bankers' club was carefully additioned with five floors of excellent rooming and amenities. Always immaculate.
Good eats everywhere and the staff is as in every place of the Yucatan Peninsula, genuinely accommodating, professional and warm.
This business is one, if not the foremost of the tourism trade in this region.
We've been going there since it opened and will continue to do so as it is worth every cent paid and thereto adds the world renown Mexican feeling of coming home.
I don't know why but for several years I stayed in other hotels during my trips to Merida.
Actually I was mistaken. This hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways:
- Architecture is beautiful.
- Rooms are updated and comfy.
- Food is good.
- Location is unbeatable.
- Efficient check-in and check-out.
- Perfect follow up of requests at the App of Fiesta Americana.
The only problem and for that I didn't give 5 starts, was the experience at the lounge:
The staff was not welcoming at all, actually it felt that they were angry with any guest arrival. They didn't respect the displayed opening hours either, deliberated they remove the food and drinks one hour before the closing time. Also quality of food and availability of drinks was very poor.
"The Fiesta Americana Hotel, Merida, Mexico"
We had a excellent stay. All the employees were great ambassadors for the hotel. They were helpful and gracious. Both restaurants were excellent. Housekeeping A+. We will rebook again to the Fiesta Americana next stay in Mexico.
"Beautiful & Central "
Very pretty, clean, secure & super location. Christmas decorations beautiful. Secure, free underground parking. Really nice shops in concourse. Loved that city tour & horse & carriage rides are right across the street. Price also great for 4 diamond hotel. Concierge & front desk super. Cons would be the beds were really soft, and the Lobby restaurant for breakfast was just ok. Delicious coffee, but service & food was nothing to brag about. Recommend going out for breakfast elsewhere. We did not eat lunch or dinner there.
The majestic Fiesta Americana Mérida rises up at the intersection of Mérida's two most important avenues: Colon and Paseo Montejo, with Porfirian-style architecture that retains an exquisite elegance, together with modernity and technology; elements that ensure a pleasurable stay.An icon of the White City, a meeting point of Merida's society and an attractive destination for vacation and business travelers alike, without a doubt one of the best hotels in Merida, Mexico.
By day or night, the hotel is breathtaking and entering, delights the eye with its elegant lobby decorated with mosaics, a central fountain and armchairs all around inviting to enjoy the elegant atmosphere. The Fiesta Americana Mérida has an adjacent shopping mall, a business center and the South East Industries Club (Club de Industriales del Sureste) which operates through membership.
Its convenient location allows you to reach the airport in 25 minutes and seven minutes from downtown, where you can learn the colonial heritage of the city, listen the Yucatecan trova notes and sample the typical dishes.
