Fiesta Americana Hacienda San Antonio El Puente Cuernavaca
Location #1 of 3 hotels in Xochitepec
Certificate of Excellence 2016
Summary of qualifications
We loved the place! It's nice and very quiet. We were attending a wedding there so that's why we stayed, and it was a great choice. The gardens are fabulous the ambience and scenery beautiful. Very good service, although we tried to have breakfast at the pool but we could only have a sandwich. I would come back.
"Beautiful hotel but very small rooms!"
We spent a weekend at the hotel. Beautiful gardens and great architecture. Not all the buildings are original, but still beautiful.
Breakfast buffet has a wide variety of mexican dishes. And dinner is also great. The hotel has only one restaurante. Which makes it little bit uncomfortable when it rains (half the restaurante is on a terrace) or when hotel is full. Employees were always kind.
Pool is great, right temperature for the kids. Again, when hotel is full, becomes difficult to find a free shady spot near the pool.
The room dissapointed me a lot. Not a cheap hotel, still our room was like a three star hotel room: Small, dark, old furnitured and an old bathroom. Very impractical when travelling with a baby. No elevator (baby carriage). The crib had almost no mattress (very thin). And the room was also noisy.
It was a nice experience for a weekend. Big old trees and vegetation! But way too expensive!
Grounds are simply gorgeous! Beautiful place for a wedding. About two hour drive from Mexico City airport. If you don't know Spanish, communication will be challenging, very few staff speak English. The food was great. Be sure to see the nearby Mayan ruins if you have time.
"Beautiful place, sadly I a stomach illness ruined the weekend"
This is a truly beautiful place, the hotel and grounds are breathtaking. We also probably had the best room in the hotel, with a huge king bed and corner with a private terrace. A gorgeous red brick vault ceiling. The way the tree roots take over parts of the original construction dating back 400 years and the way some walls are kept in their original state is magnificent.
Unfortunately both my wife and I ate something there that made our weekend and experiment in patience and stomach pain.
The restaurant is beautiful and outdoors to take advantage of the wonderful weather, unfortunately they have speakers nearby from the karaoke bar on the other side of the Hacienda. Why would they do this? If I want to listen to karaoke, I will go to the karaoke bar or buffet dinner next to it. Please don't ruin the atmosphere in the nice restaurant by funnelling the singing there.
I will return because the Hacienda deserves a second chance, I do hope the food is up to standard and there isn't a repeat infection.
"Beautiful yet with very poor service"
I have to start by saying that the venue is unbelievably beautiful. It was formerly a sugar factory with the look and feel of a hispanic hacienda that was succesfully renewed no long ago.
However, there is not good value in the service and the quality of the products you get out of what you pay. The food is average in taste and pricey, the rooms are pricey and old with no particular amenities or features of a five stars hotel.
I'd go for a brunch visit to enjoy a walk in the beautiful place however I don't think is worth a stay.
