The room was nice with a little balcony. But you are not going there to stay in your room, the all building, its garden and activities are the important things to consider there! The outside buffet food is amazing... you eat in the shadow of a huge tree in a garden with birds of all colors. The two swimming pools are in an other garden so that you don´t hear any of that noise when you eat. A little farm with pigs, birds, rabbit, horses and sheep can be found hidden in an other garden. You can play tennis, you can play basketball, you can hear the legend of that "Mexican Castle". It is totally worth it!
"Landmark!!! Really nice Hacienda"
My favourite is The buffet is great with lots of options and top quality, especially the one for breakfast-brunch, during the weekends.
The hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels in all of Mexico, really historic and very well preserved, the gardens and public areas are amazing and well maintened. The down side is the rooms need to get a little renovation, especially the bathrooms and maybe get rid of the carpet floors.
The pool need to have a filters, and not having employees cleaning it all day long.
Thre staff is really helpful an willing to exceed expectations, with special mention to the "leyends story telling" crew!!! 2 thumbs up!
"Nice, historic, safe but weak in service"
Exotraordinary location in historic hacienda in full nature. Fulminant style can still be seen. However, service staff at reception, room service and laundry sometimes seems to be overstrained. Several times laundry got damaged or mixed up, changeful room service quality. But friendly and helpful people. Prefered location compared to noisy hotels in the city.
Very good brunch! One of the best in Queretaro! Staff is very friendly. Starting from the security gate!
The only observation would about the music...
Horrible music for that kind of set up in this style of resort....
"Great Hotel and Great Place for Lunch or Dinner"
There are haciendas all over Mexico. But because this one belongs to the Fiesta Americana group it offers a sum of services not seen elsewhere. Historically beautiful and maintained impeccably this is a great place for a weekend getaway for those who live in Mexico City or for a family gathering to celebrate an event! It is also highly recommended for business meetings. Take a look a all the pictures posted. You won't be disappointed! Incredibly huge staircases and huge wide hallways will sweep you into the past of this historic Hacienda! Some nights they will light the fire in the bar area for a relaxing drink before heading to the restaurant where the food and the service are excellent. They have a great pool with a huge shallow part for kids, tennis courts and lots of gardens to roam! You can stay here on your way to see Queretaro or even a day trip up to San Miguel!
In what was the splendid and stately "hacienda" which Cortés gave to La Malinche at the end of the 16th Century, stands the Fiesta Americana Hacienda Galindo, a hotel in Querétaro, México, which preserves the beauty of the original architecture, its large, lush gardens and colonial legends.
The hotel combines its country air and historical roots with the modernity and practicality of its property to offer a magical place for vacations, business meetings and social events. This hotel's privileged location in San Juan del Rio, Querétaro, makes it ideal for visitors from Mexico City, the state of México and San Luis Potosi, as well as Guadalajara and Hidalgo, who have made it their favorite hotel for organizing work meetings or to spend the weekend.
The hotel is an institution for the people of Querétaro, who visit it to taste the typical Mexican dishes at its restaurant or spend a pleasant evening at the bar. We remind you that the check-in time is from 3:00:00 PM (subject to space availability). The check-out time is 11:00 AM and we suggest using our express check-out service.
