There are several Fiesta Americana hotels in Guadalajara but this is an excellent choice. Stayed on the Fiesta Rewards floor with a very large room with view on the Minerva fountain square. Large HD flat TV, robe and slippers, well-stocked minibar and excellent breakfast buffet.
"Stay if cheap"
Decent hotel. Very business. Clean room. Breakfast is good. Staff frustrating bc of language barriers, but extremely nice. Boring bar. Must go out for dinner. Lots of restaurants close by. Great city to visit
"Mid week stay"
Nice hotel! Surprised that more of the personnel are not bilingual! Comfy rooms however the showers are DANGEROUSLY slippery and a flexible shower head and more water pressure would be appreciated as well.
"Could Have Been/Should Have Been better"
Serious problems with the air conditioning, the room safe and the WiFi. Fiesta Americana technical support had me spend 45 minutes troubleshooting my laptop when it was clearly their infrastructure. I explained that I was a network engineer and could clearly see that they were having a problem with their DHCP server and that there was no route to the gateway, but they didn't believe it. Finally the reset the access point which resolved the problem. However, it returned 30 minutes later. We just gave up and spent a night that was entirely too warm. The next day we ended up missing our flight because they couldn't get the room safe open for almost two (2) hours so we could get our passports. Sigh...
"Hotel was nice and good service"
The hotel and service for the most part was good. The area is nice with a starbucks and xoxo within walking distance. We were very disappointed with the food at the restaurant. I actually found a hair in my food and lost my appetite after that. The AC had issues our first night and it took 2 times for the maintenance department to come out and fix. Very inconvenient. We have mixed feelings about staying again.
Fiesta Americana Guadalajara is ideal for relaxation or for enjoying the various recreational activities. Its location, in downtown Guadalajara, offers various experiences: from the traditional flavor of Zapopan and Tlaquepaque, to museums, excellent restaurants and one of the country's most beautiful historical centers.
