This resort was perfect for our family of 5 ! We had an imperial suite 3 bedroom that was quite large and worked well for our teenage daughter and two younger boys. The staff was top notch and goes the extra mile to make sure your vacation is super special. The property is well maintained and they did a nice job renovating things a few years back. The pool was dated, but not an issue...swim up bar and afternoon activities were popular poolside. This was our first FA all-inclusive resort and it did not disappoint. The 5 restaurants were fantastic and offered enough diversity that the selections never got boring. The evening activities were nice and would say our favorites were the themed Mexican dinner shows. The only negative thing I have to say about the resort is the lack of an ATM or bank. You have to take a $20 cab into the city or use the free bikes and ride into town (20 mins.). If you choose to ride bikes, it's actually fun. Would suggest the bank/ATM behind the Hard Rock Café (CiBanco). The staff assisted us in scheduling our offsite activities. Snorkeling was lots of fun and our guide for 3.5hrs was very good. Note, great snorkeling in front of the resort (free) was lots of fun and kept the kids busy for hours. We chose to rent a Jeep for a day ($85) and do a self guided tour of the island. The front desk did a great job helping us determine where to stop. FYI- our Jeep was manual transmission, not sure if automatic was available? The Bob Marley lunch spot is a must. Keep in mind that most of the south end of the island has no Wi-Fi or cell service and many, if not all don't take CC, so bring cash. Did a 4 hr. deep see fishing trip. The fish were scarce so the captain gave us an additional hour to travel south to the lighthouse area, our catch was one good size barracuda. $400+15% tip was a bit steep, but everyone had fun and the staff could not have been nicer! Our family loves Mexico and Fiesta American Cozumel. We would totally go back for another family vacation at this resort.
"Luxurious and Fun Hotel"
We had a wonderful experience on our recent trip to Cozumel Fiesta Americana. From the first moment of arrival we were served a beautiful and tasty drink. (non-alcoholic). Our rooms were comfortable, clean, and roomy. (A small thing, but much appreciated... enough hangers for a weeks supply of clothes). Every one of the staff was helpful and courteous. A special thanks to GianCarlo of the activities staff. The water aerobics activity was so much fun for all ages. He greeted us every day with a big smile and kept us informed of all the things going on at the hotel. We loved it. Also thanks to Andrea for directions to some excellent shops downtown. We found just the right things. Our favorite show of the week was the "Fire Dance" and "Deer Dance" performed by amazing dancers. The steps, rhythms, and regalia were beautiful and sensational with ballet leaps and graceful moves. It was a grand celebration of Aztec history and tradition. The food at the seaside buffet was fresh and delicious. The servers took extra steps to make us special drinks and food. The taco hut on the beach had great tacos and shrimp cocktail. Good service there also. Room service every day and night with a smile and good food. I could go on and on about all the beautiful reefs we saw snorkeliong very close by the hotel. Amazingly beautiful and pristine reefs. I had the most wonderful time. Loved every moment!
Driving up I was anxious that it had a 1980's appearance, but from the first greeting everything was just super pleasant. Beautiful view, nice room, strong internet signal even on the beach, staff so very eager to please, very good food.
Morning breakfasts on the beach are postcard perfect, delicious selection, waitstaff so friendly.
By 10am the free snorkel rentals by the pool were all gone We walked to Money Bar, very pricey rental and by the time we had started it was midday, the waves were starting and challenging for us beginners. Tide did not take us back to the hotel as promised but stranded us halfway, gulped some seawater and fought very sharp rocks to get out of the water.
Next day went early to get snorkel equipment by the pool, went out right in front of the hotel and it was calm and beautiful (and free).
Drinks never seen to be cold enough, especially in plastic tumblers, but that is about the most trivial comment of imperfection (along with they need to buy more snorkel equipment) in this excellent stay!
Just returned from another amazing stay at Fiesta Americana. The service was stellar. Angelica was gracious and made us to feel that we were home! Jose did an amazing job serving our drinks and anticipated our needs. Fernando's superior service at the Peninsula restaurant turned our meal into a memorable experience! The food was delicious and his extra touches made it an amazing event! Johnnys recommendations and extra touches at the Mexican restaurant helped to make for a fun evening. The fish tacos at the Cevicheria were amazing. The chef at the buffet went above and beyond to make our family the most delicious fish tacos.
The staff was excellent.. Fernando, Jose and Johnny made my vacation infinitely better by tending to my every need. Angelica was very friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to stay here. The facilities were nice and updated. The peninsula restaurant had the best food at the resort
