I have been a member of the FAVC for 15 years. This was another very nice resort. Great location. Staff extremely friendly and very attentive during the stay. Excellent food choices (recommend the seafood bar, excellent calamari) and nightly entertainment. We went with some very good friends and had two suites. One with a pool (limited view), another on one of the upper floor. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool. The only issue that we had is when we were leaving. We went on the Tequila Tour arranged by the resort and bought 9 bottles to bring home since it was fantastic. We arranged with the bell staff to ship the product back for us using a Fed-Ex number that we provided to the staff. After making over a dozen calls and talking to the staff, two to the manager on duty, we have yet to have any action taken to ship the product. Very disappointed that such a great vacation could end on such a sour note. I am hoping that the GM of the facility will view this review and make some sort of effort to resolve the issue since it is close to a $1000 worth of product that has not shipped. This is the reason for the lower rating. Until then, I will keep on calling weekly to try to get this resolved. But it has only been 3 months, but who is counting.
"Dissapointing "Beach" Resort with Crumbling Infrastructure"
My husband and I booked an 8 night stay at what we thought was a beach resort. It is NOT. There is no beach - only a small sandy area with access to snorkeling. If you like to snorkel, this may not bother you but the resort has many other problems. First and foremost, if you can't sit on a beach, you would like to lay by the pool and swim. You can't do that either because the pool had moldy grout, some tiles were missing, a piece of the edge was broken and dangerous - overall, it was NOT clean (we did not feel comfortable using the pool after the first day. Additionally, the quality of food in the Italian and Asian restaurants was very poor; there was loud techno-pop music ALL day long at the pool with no opportunity to relax; the pool chairs had mold on them; there was NO comfortable furniture in our room; requested wake up calls were missed several days in a row; the steps leading up to the property were uneven, cracked and dangerous with missing lights; the dryer in the laundry room was rusty and ruined several pieces of our clothing; the bars seemed to run out of premium liquors almost every night so drinks were then made with inferior brands, but the premium liquors seemed to magically reappear the next day; finally there were patches of mold in both our showers. All of this, coupled with our unfortunate experience in the spa with a terrible unprofessional massage caused us to have a miserable vacation where we felt that we were trapped on the property. The only redeeming quality this property has is most of it's employees are very nice (with the exception of the front desk staff who did not seem to care). If you don't mind a beach resort without a beach, a dirty pool but free-flowing inferior drinks, this is the place for you.
This was our second time to Fiesta and my brothers third and once again didn't disappoint us.I had emailed Jorge the manager telling him we would like a nice room with a view and he delivered as he had promised. The property is maintained excellent and the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Sergio is always great as he delivers our luggage to your room ,Emmanuel and Juan at the pool bar work very fast and deliver excellent drinks in a very friendly manner. Lucero ,we called her Lucy and she doesn't stop all day long keeping drinks full around the pool.Go to the taco stand for a fish or shrimp taco that are awesome and Jose will be happy to serve you . He is a very friendly man with a huge smile and a great work attitude. Aaron literally runs all day keeping drinks replenished around the oceanfront , another great person at Fiesta. Sandy at the front desk will help you with any needs you may want off the property, very friendly and professional.Jorge was constantly walking the grounds talking to,people and making sure needs were fulfilled . I chatted with him on a few occasions throughout our stay and he always asked if there was anything he could do for us.Our maid Valerie kept our room fresh and clean also and made cute towel animals daily. Thanks again Fiesta . See you next year.
"Best time ever!"
Love this place! Great staff, smaller hotel so not so busy, amazing food and drinks! Aaron is wonderful waiter! Along with all the other staff, will do what it takes to make you happy!
No reservations needed for the restaurants, buffet and fish taco stand are also amazing! Great snorkeling, highly recommend this place!
"Great Family Vacation"
There were 9 of us so I requested at least two rooms adjoining. They gave us a Suite that had one king bed/bathroom, two queen beds in another room and a pull out sofa bed (very comfy) so five of us stayed in that suite. Two adult boys stayed in another room with two queen beds and the last two adult boys ended up with a room on the first floor that had a pool outside their patio. Service was very good - the staff did whatever they could to please everyone. Rooms were very nicely updated and very clean. Food was good at the buffet but the Italian restaurant was very, very good. The resort is smaller and the beach is across the street but everything was very close. The don't have a walking beach on this side of the island but you can walk/run the bike lane on the street. All rooms face the ocean. We were in room 501 so the fifth floor had an excellent view.
