We've visited this hotel before and it gets better every time! They have re-modeled the rooms, have new water slides for kids and the service is great! From the reception we received by Anna Cervera, to the all the restaurant waiters/bartenders, towel guys, their service is exceptional, they aim to please and they do! Special shout out to our favorite waiter, David from restaurant Kambu, he is just a jewel, he treated us like royalty. We asked for Gluten Free options and he created a four course meal on our last day at the hotel especially catered for us, including hot flaming delicious desserts. The pool activities/entertainment guys are also exceptional, Israel, Xavier and the whole team play music and provide activities all day. It will be difficult to find a better staff than what is found at this hotel, treat yourself and your family to this great location, you won't be dissapointed!
My husband and I just returned from our stay for 5 nights and we were beyond pleased with the experience. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and modern. The food options are endless - almost overwhelmingly so, but we had no problem with that. There were fun activities at the pool everyday for adults. We would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Cancun!
"Employees are very friendly "
Let me start by saying that my first impression was to give it 5 stars but then over my stay, the 5th star dissipated.
Employees are very helpful and friendly
The room service is amazing and included in the all inclusive
Maid service stop by the room twice at day. In the morning and night time
The mini bar in the room is also included. Sodas and beer.
Good variety of food served in the main restaurant buffet.
Pool activities are very fun: bingo, Dance classes, football, DJ's, etc.
Every night the maid passed by and made our room ready for night time and let us a dessert.
There is a fruit basket that is replace everyday for fresh ones.
The shower is very spacious and you get all you need (shampoo, rinse, body gel and soap)
Overall the hotel is well maintained and very clean.
Wifi internet is included but it is very slow.
Detail oriented: I called the hotel on advance to le them know about the birthday of my son and they made a rice art decoration in the table and kept him a dessert with a candle.
The steak restaurant "Santelmo" isn't all inclusive. There are several steaks and wine that you need to pay for and you need to make reservations with one day in advance for that restaurant.
There are nice "pool beds" but you need to pay for it if you want to use them.
It was a construction next to my room in the sea tower and they made noise very early in the morning and wake my family up early during two days until I asked them to stop.
There is a line during breakfast rush hour of about 10 minutes (from 9 to 11am)
The restroom is separated from the bed area with a stained glass wall and there isn't 100% privacy in the showers and toilet. No one can't see you completely but still the cam see your shadow.
Slow wifi internet: down 17mbps and up 8mbps
"No Better place than this in Cancun"
This trip was our third and we have stayed at the same resort every time, for us it started with Fernanda, she welcomed us in as though we were home for a week. she made sure every detail was perfect from our room with the view we requested to making special arrangements for dinner since we love the Kalmia and it is closed on Wednesday nights for dinner. She goes out of her way to make sure your trip is everything you want it to be and more. the staff in this resort is amazing, Pilar and Reyes are in the Kalmia and Claudia and Jose are out pool side and believe me when I say these 4 work extremely hard to make sure you know you are on vacation. We requested to sit by Reyes every night because his service was exemplary. He made us little swans out of napkins and lit candles at out table, Pilar was always there with a smile and a hug. the food is amazing you can see a lot of work and planing goes into making the beautiful spreads they have at each meal. this trip we at at the steakhouse and really enjoyed the food in there as well. on the beach Jose doesn't let you even think about getting anything yourself he is there with another drink before your first one is gone. He has an exceptional personality and we look forward to seeing him each time we go. Since we have been there a few times they have become our family, they know who we are as soon as they see us, even Campos, the amazing gentleman who gets you in and out of your transportation, he always has a smile on his face. I can't say enough about what an amazing staff this resort has, there is a huge selection of amazing food and now with the remodel the rooms are beautiful. Hubby and I are already looking forward to next years trip when we can go to our Home away from Home again.
this hotel was okay.... the food was good, service was great, but it lacked liveness in the lobby, needed more attractions for teens/adults we quickly got bored... it was like there was no air condition at all in the lobby you would think it would stay cool.... I would not come back.
