We hosted our daughters destination wedding here in April 2017. We can't say enough about the amazing service we got from Lucia and her crew!! The wedding was flawless and Lucia was with us every minute of the day making sure it was perfect.
Hair, make up, flowers, alter, photographer, happy hour, dinner and dance were top notch. The resort was clean, food was great and outdoor service was great, especially Jazmin, so friendly! We will return and we highly recommend this resort for a destination wedding.
"5 stars for 5 times"
This was our fifth time staying at Fiesta Americana Condesa and saying we love it is an understatement. It has become more of a second home, and the staff is like family. The bartending staff is second to none. They are great people and make the stay more enjoyable. They make great tasting drinks and service is quick. We spent countless hours at the pool bar and loved seeing Pedro, Adrian, Juan, and Niemas everyday. Along with the pool bartenders the servers around the pool were great. Especially Jose, who always greeted us with a friendly face and made sure we were taken care of. Continuing with bartenders, Sandro at the Tapas bar in the lobby was awesome. He is such a nice guy, and again makes great drinks. Our waiters at dinner were always very good, especially Jairo at the steakhouse, San Telmo. He was very funny and went above and beyond. Last but certainly not least, the activities staff was excellent. They enhanced the experience by getting everybody involved. From crazy games, dancing at the pool, water aerobics, beach volleyball, and zumba they always kept us engaged and entertained. They were always in conversation with guests and constantly had smiles on their faces. Enrique and Israel were energetic and we enjoyed spending time with them. Freddy was good at organizing and bringing people out at night and was trustworthy. Finally, Ury is absolutely amazing. He is the hardest worker and has enough energy for the whole resort. He runs most of the activities and somehow keeps going. He is extremely kind and like family to us. I can't wait to see everybody from the staff next year and continue to make memories at our favorite place.
"Fun but not exactly a 5 star experience"
As far as all inclusives go, this hotel is great. And thats why I gave it 4 stars. Most all inclusive hotels fail to be polished, refined and complete in terms of their services amd amenities. Their model typically isnt designed for that kind of detail. And thats ok if you know what youre getting into. So, if you are looking for a nice room with pool options, music, a fun beach scene, some party choices during the day and night, as well as some decent food, this is a great choice. Its not the Ritz, by any means, but its fine for an easy going couple/family who isnt requiring perfection at every corner.
That said, its a little rough around some of the edges. Grounds are mostly clean but we dis find the public bathrooms to be pretty gross. Floors, toilets and sinks were not cleaned during the day (they were grear in the morning but grew disgusting as the day wore on).
The AC in our room didnt seem to work. We were offered another room and the problem was fixed. But it was like pulling teeth to get the change made and I didnt appreciate the roadblocks.
Dinners were good but as others said, they were hot. Too many people packed in a space that didnt seem to ventilate well. Hawaii is great without AC because of the breezes. No such luck im Cancun, apparently. Its nice to eat outside when its tolerable but not when you feel like youre medium rare after your meal.
We didn't mind the kids and music. But i can see if others are put off by it. Not a fault of the hotel, per se, but just know when you go to the pool, it will definitely not be some zen experience with only the sound of crashing waves in the background.
Again...if you can tolerate some less than perfect factors, its great. But if you want peace and quiet, a higher end of luxury, some fine dining, and a level of romance at every turn, definitely go elsewhere.
"Once was enough"
I was on a mini trip 7/11-7/14 with my 17 yr old daughter. The beach is my favorite part of Cancun. There was tons of seaweed in the ocean and up on the beach. I know that can't be controlled but I expected the staff to gather most of it up in the mornings and they did not. Each day it seemed to accumulate more...so much so that I did not post any pics from the beach until my last day - Friday 7/14. When I came down for my early morning jog, the beach was pristine and the sand was soft and perfect. This is the atmosphere that I am accustomed to in Cancun. I have been to Cancun for the last five years and this resort is definitely the worst concerning seaweed.
Another disappointment was the lack of bilingual staff. I had an extremely hard time communicating with the staff for directions or asking for a particular drink or any basic question. I have never experienced that hardship before so it was a negative for my visit. There were, however, some exceptional staff on hand and I would like to commend the pool staff for their energy and classes. Pada was an exceptional Yoga teacher. Israel was very personable and i was very impressed that he remembered my name on my first day until the end of the visit. The other pool staff were equally as fun with Zumba and water aerobics/games. This post is not allowing me to post their names as it is calling it profane. I will later attach a picture so they, too, can receive recognition. This group was definitely the highlight of fun and energy.
Also there was a bar on the beach. After we got thru the language barrier, he told me the bar opened at 10am. When i came back at 1010am, he said 11am. Then 11am turned into 12N. It was very annoying because I was dehydrated, walking in heat back/forth to the hut. We only wanted WATER. The entertainment wasn't really my style with the exception of The Michael Jackson show. Please do not miss it!!!!! The food was okay. I have to give the resort a "3" because I am comparing it with other hotels on the strip where I received better service. I did not get the concierge's name but she was female and was working there my entire visit. She was excellent as well. Please find her name and let her know that I really appreciated her assistance during my stay. Also the activity calendar was printed in Spanish which made it extremely hard to know what was going on around the resort. (this is where the Concierge came in handy) Another negative was the WIFI dropped continuously. I couldn't even check-in for my returning flight home which resulted in higher baggage fees. I went back 3x to try to check in. That was a first for any resort I've stayed at. We snorkeled with Aqua World and did the MUSA tour. Yayo, Dani & Baeto were EXCELLENT. If you choose this tour, ask for them. The boat ride was almost as fun as the snorkeling. There were refreshments/beverages served and fun, laughter and music. We had a BLAST! Yayo, the tour guide also dove down with our underwater camera and took great pics!
Our room was beautiful, the food was amazing! We ate everywhere except the Steak House. The service was great! The concierge was very helpful. We really didn't need to leave the resort. We bought a package for excursions, parasailing, jungle boat ride with snorkeling and trip to Isle Majures. I could've done without the isle. Our resort was better. The most amazing thing was watching the turtles come to the beach to lay eggs. The hotel has a turtle protection program.
The Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun All Inclusive is the place to be for fun with family and friends. Guests can build sand castles on the beach, paint T-shirts, play volleyball, water polo, or try out classes in mini-Olympic, kite-making, boat-building, cooking, yoga, or Mayan language. Adults can enjoy evening activities like tequila tasting, dancing to live music or learning Mayan astrology, while the kids have fun at the Fiesta Kids Club or the Teen's Club.
